The new McKinley High School Alumni Association board was sworn in on July 26 during a ceremony at the McKinley High School Alumni Center. McKinley grad and retired Judge Freddie Pitcher performed the swearing-in ceremony. The board oversees the management of the historic McKinley Alumni Center, along with working with local, state and federal government agencies and private entities in bringing community programs to the south Baton Rouge community. The Alumni Association also partners with McKinley High School to provide financial assistance, in-kind contributions, and council to students, student groups and the administration. The board meets at 6 p.m.
, on the fourth Tuesday of every month, at the Center, 1520 Thomas H. Delpit Drive and invites McKinley grads and the public to attend.
