McKinley High License Plates Are In!

Good news McKinley High grads and fans. The new McKinley High School state license plates are in.

According to the DMV, they are only available for pick up at the Baton Rouge location at 7979 Independence Blvd. The building is on the right when you enter the State Police compound off of Independence. Once on the first floor, you will ask for Special Plates.

The state has made some 200 McK plates and will make more as demand increases. They are numbered 1-200. You can only purchase plates with numbers in that range, a DMV official said. As many as 101 have been sold.

The cost can vary between $61.50 and over $100 depending on the price of your vehicle at purchase and how much time you have on your current plate. Please double check this information. You will need to provide your driver’s license and vehicle registration form to purchase.
