Class of ’70 makes $2,000 donation for scholarships

Congratulations go out to the Class of 1970 on its $2,000 donation to the McKinley High Alumni Association’s Scholarship Fund.

The check was presented at the Association’s monthly meeting held Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the McKinley Alumni Center. A letter of gratitude to the Class of ’70 from the Dr. Harrison D. Lawless Scholarship Fund committee says in part: “Your contribution will help to change the lives of McKinley High School students and lead them to a better future.”

The Dr. Harrison D. Lawless Scholarships, named in honor of the 1928 McKinley High grad and noted educator, are awarded annually to deserving McKinley High School students who cannot fully afford the costs of higher education.
